Caritas Australia Mekong Partners Meeting

The last day of the partners meeting started off with reports from the three groups about their experiences with the site visits yesterday. Following that were presentations on measures against fraud, ideas about the new program template, and then the use of social media.

Each of the three groups reported on the the field trips yesterday, commenting on the situations they observed, the good practices, and various aspects of the operations that are funded by Caritas Australia in those projects.

Nou Chanthea, the Caritas Australia staffer who monitors Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, explained some of the ideas that Caritas looks for in projects.

Every day we had a lunch in the hotel dining room with a meal preselected and waiting for us when we arrived at the table set up for us. The food was good throughout the meeting.

A dance by the students from IDU
In the afternoon, the students from the Intellectual Disability Unit came to the hotel and performed some of their dances for us and received some small gifts from our group.

Then the director of the IDU surprised us by giving us a gift of khramas in a Laotian design.
